PayPal gets a 360 view of Sydney

Hosted by&nbsp;Tara Rushton,&nbsp;Australian sports journalist and host for Network 10,&nbsp;the 150 guests were treated to an intimate discussion&nbsp;with guest speaker Ash Barty. The sporting superstar revealed her insights into how to build a successful team, learn from challenges, and how mindset changes everything.&nbsp;Other speakers included&nbsp;Edwin Aoki CTO of PayPal's Blockchain,&nbsp;Peggy Alford&nbsp;PayPal EVP, Global Sales, Cameron McLean&nbsp;PayPal SVP, Europe and Australia, Caroline Bowler BT Markets CEO and many more.&nbsp;With spectacular views over Sydney Harbour, guests were invited to experience the MCA like never before with an exclusive private viewing of the level 2 gallery, showcasing 'Perspective on Place' exhibition, followed by a post event networking function in the Quayside&nbsp;Room overlooking Circular Quay.

From handling logistics to providing memorable SWAG, we left no stone unturned to guarantee an event that exceeded expectations and achieved LinkedIn's objectives. &nbsp;

Demonstrating our commitment to sustainability, we incorporated eco-friendly practices throughout the event. From offering sustainable SWAG to utilising recyclable print materials and digital signage, we minimised our environmental impact. Partnering with Ivy for waste removal and composting allowed us to further reduce our carbon footprint. Our eco-conscious approach aligned with LinkedIn's values and resonated with attendees who appreciated the effort.

LinkedIn partnered with CAPITAL-e to produce our first Australian event post-pandemic, and it was a fantastic collaboration! The team quickly grasped our objectives, demonstrating creativity and professionalism while maintaining regular communication throughout the planning process and nurturing all new and existing stakeholder relationships. Our event was flawlessly executed, delivering an inspiring experience that met and exceeded all expectations.

LinkedIn enlisted our team to host an exceptional event in Sydney called LinkedIn Forward. The event was specifically designed to create value for 300 ANZ and selected APAC customers and prospects, with a primary focus on HR and L&amp;D professionals. Through keynote sessions, specialised breakouts, and executive engagements, our goal was to foster relationships and deliver an unforgettable experience.

Attendees were treated to a wealth of valuable learning and networking experiences through expertly coordinated sessions and breakouts. We implemented innovative practices to elevate the event experience, securing a distinctive non-hotel space in the CBD that provided a refreshing departure from traditional event venues. Our interactive data insights reports captivated the audience, delivering information in a way that was both accessible and engaging. In addition, we transformed 'LinkedIn Forward' into a symbol of the brand's aesthetics, garnering recognition and adoption by the global team.

Unlocking Opportunities: Valuable Learning and Networking

The event yielded remarkable results, far surpassing our initial goals. We received an overwhelming 958 registrations, and the show rate based on pre-event registrations was an impressive 85%. The event's Net Promoter Score (NPS) reached an outstanding 70, demonstrating a high level of attendee satisfaction. The Confidence Index also soared to an impressive 90%. Furthermore, 85% of attendees confirmed that they gained a better understanding of LinkedIn through their participation, exceeding our target of 300 attendees and ultimately reaching 450 participants. The comprehensive event program at The Ivy Sydney offered a multitude of engaging opportunities, including registration, conference sessions, breakout sessions, LinkedIn Lounge, activations, guest speakers, entertainment, and networking.

Requiring end-to-end support across event planning and strategy, project management, communications, and onsite execution, Grafana Labs collaborated closely with the team at CAPITAL-e. The successful event met the needs of the business and attendees alike, sparking discussions within the wider Grafana Labs team about plans for future events.&nbsp;Post-event surveys reflected overwhelmingly positive feedback from all involved, with an overall experience rating of 4.9 out of 5 stars.

The CAPITAL-e team plugged in exactly where we needed them. Our whole team has been so impressed to see them successfully stage this event in Canada. It’s great to know that they have the capability to deliver events outside of Australia and APAC.

Uniting over 600 staff from more than 40 countries across 6 continents, Grafanafest delivered a connected ‘village’ vibe to the event, with everything and everyone within walking distance.&nbsp;Grafana Labs, renowned for providing an open and composable monitoring and observability stack built around Grafana, the leading open source technology for dashboards and visualisation, organised this remarkable gathering.&nbsp;&nbsp;Despite the challenges of the pandemic, which prevented the global team from gathering in person since 2019, Grafana Labs continued to flourish. Throughout this period, the company's workforce expanded from 50 to over 700 employees. Over these years, the fully remote business sought an opportunity to unite all its employees, determined to find a way to bring the growing team together in one location.
